Palestinian who stabbed Yitzhar boy killed
Police forensic lab confirms terrorist killed approaching settlement on Saturday morning was same Palestinian who stabbed nine-year-old Israeli boy week before
Investigators from the Hebron District Police have determined that the terrorist killed on Saturday morning outside the West Bank settlement of Yitzhar is the same Palestinian who infiltrated the settlement the week before and stabbed a nine-year-old Israeli boy after torching a house in the Shalhevet neighborhood.
The terrorist was killed at around 6:00 am on Saturday, after IDF and Border Guard police forces spotted him advancing towards the settlement and opened fire at him after he lit the Molotov cocktail he had been carrying.
A subsequent search of his body revealed a knife and other tools concealed on his person, which defense
officials say were meant to aid him in breaking into the settlement.
The army released a video showing the Palestinian approaching the settlement and lighting the Molotov cocktail. Seconds later, the Palestinian hurls the Molotov cocktail, which then explodes in close proximity to him. The video was shot using a thermal camera and does not feature the actual killing of the Palestinian youth who threw it.
Palestinians say the deceased is 15-year-old Suhib Salah, a resident of Asira al-Kabaliya. They say Salah's brother was killed near the same settlement and under the same circumstances in 2002.
