Lebanon army to get weapons from US

A senior US defense official and Lebanon's army chief signed an agreement for more weapons for the Lebanese military.
A US embassy statement on Friday said the agreement would grant the Lebanese army automatic grenade launchers as part of US$410 million in grants that the US government has provided to the army since 2006. (AP)
