Livni tells Peres elections necessary

In a statement to the media after meeting with Israeli President Shimon Peres, Kadima Chairwoman Tzipi Livni said "I informed the president that in light of the circumstances, we must go to elections.

"There are some prices that can be paid, and there are prices that others are willing to pay, but I am not," she added, after saying she had done all she could to form a new government. (Ynet)
