Hebron settler says wished death only on evacuating soldiers
'I was overcome with emotions upon witnessing security forces' brutality during evacuation of Noam Federman's home,' says Jew whose controversial remarks caused uproar in Israel
The Hebron settler who told Army Radio that he hoped all IDF soldiers would be "killed and slaughtered" said his outburst was aimed only at security personnel who participated in Saturday night's evacuation of an illegal outpost occupied by right-wing extremist Noam Federman's home in the West Bank city.
The settler said in a statement published Monday "upon witnessing the brutality of the police officers during the evacuation, the abuse of the Federman family's women and children while the police offices were gloating, I was overcome with emotions, it was unlike anything I'd ever experienced before.
"I do not have to explain what a person feels when he sees soldiers and police officers snatching babies away from his friend's mother and throwing a family out of its home," the statement read.
According to the settler, his outburst was not aimed at IDF soldiers in general, but he added that "I do harbor anger toward those responsible for the destruction of the Federman's home.
I will not forget and will never forgive those who took part in the expulsion of Jews. I pray that God gives them what they deserve," he said.
