Israeli airline Israir announced Wednesday that as of December it would begin operating two flight services to Thailand: Israel-Bangkok
and Israel-Phuket. This will make Israir the only operator offering a direct flight to Phuket. The flights will be carried out with an Airbus A-330 model airplane.
The service will be available between December 15 and February 28. The flights to Phuket will leave on Sundays and return on Tuesdays, while the flights to Bangkok will leave on Wednesday and return on Thursdays.
Israir will allow passengers to fly to one destination and return from the other.
Shai Marina, the company's commercial director, said that Israir "decided to meet the high demand for a direct flight to Thailand at affordable prices, while maintaining a high level of service.
"Additionally, the possibility to combine the two destinations will save the Israeli passengers an internal flight and allow them more flexibility during their stay in Thailand."
