Rice, Abbas discuss future of peace talks

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived in the West Bank for talks with Palestinian leaders on the fate of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.
Rice said a year-end target date for an agreement is no longer realistic. Israel holds elections in February. Palestinian officials worry that gains made in negotiations will not be recognized if Israel gets a hardline government. (AP)
