3 soldiers face disciplinary action for hiking in Palestinian area

Three IDF soldiers on leave were found Friday hiking near the West Bank city of Birzeit. The three were armed and were spotted by Palestinian security forces, who reported the incident to the IDF.

The IDF Spokesman's Unit said disciplinary action will be taken against all three; and reiterated that Israelis are forbidden from entering areas under the Palestinian Authority's control (Area A), and are strongly advised against entering Area B territories. (Efrat Weiss)
