WIZO's seminar for young women leadership opens in Tel Aviv this week, bringing together participants from 15 countries
About 60 young Jewish women from 15 countries around the world arrived in Israel this week to attend a young leadership seminar sponsored by the World WIZO organization.
WIZO, the Women's International Zionist Organization, is a non-political volunteer organization dedicated to social welfare in all sectors of Israeli society, the advancement of the status of women, and Jewish education in Israel and the Diaspora.

The week-long seminar, which takes place in Tel Aviv's Sheraton Hotel, brings together women from countries such as India, Bulgaria, Panama, Germany, Australia, Greece and England, and seeks to create a tight social network between WIZO federations around the globe.
As part of the seminar, participants will visit various places in Israel, including the Western Wall, Yad Vashem, Sderot and an IAF base; attend workshops on WIZO's activities and hear lectures.
The conference will focus on WIZO's activities in its worldwide federations, carried out by tens of thousands of women volunteers who operate various community projects for children, single mothers, immigrants and the elderly.
Tova Ben-Dov, World WIZO chairwoman, said on Sunday: "The seminar constitutes a meeting place and a venue for discussion for young women leaders from across the world. WIZO is proud to spearhead women's social and community activities in the Jewish communities.
"We will continue to strengthen the ties between Israel and the Diaspora, as well as social and community life of Jews around the world," she concluded.
