Starting Thursday, December 4, Jerusalem will celebrate three consecutive weekends filled with events and pastimes of all kinds, including cultural events, tourist attractions, dance, theater, music, food, wine and more.

The annual Hamshushalaim festival, sponsored by the Jerusalem municipality, will be held for the fourth year in a row. And will last from Thursday night to Saturday night each week.

Every Thursday night from 9 pm to 2 am, visitors to the city will be able to enjoy entrance to dozens of major cultural and tourist institutions free of charge, or for a symbolic fee.

Institutes participating in the event include the Israel Museum, the Museum of Islamic Art, the City of David, and more.

On Fridays special activities will be held in a number of places, including an art, music and food fair in the German Colony in the city. Synagogues across Jerusalem will also welcome visitors to experience the Shabbat spirit in the holy city.

Saturday nights will feature dance, world music, and theater performances.

During the Hamshushalaim festival, dozens of tours of the city will be offered for free or for very low prices, and every Friday at 10 am tours for people with special needs will be offered free of charge.
