Rita to perform at Sydney Opera House
Israeli diva to launch her first-ever Australian tour in one of world's most distinctive buildings, with songs both in Hebrew and English
The Sydney Opera House, one of the world's most distinctive buildings, will soon host none other than Israeli diva Rita. The singer will launch her first-ever Australian tour at this famous landmark on April 5, 2009.
The concert, which is expected to last about two and a half hours, is expected to include songs both in Hebrew and in English. The Arbel Communications PR office, which represents the singer, confirmed the details.
Rita will arrive in Australia following her latest best-selling album, "Remazim" (hints), which was released this year. In recent months she has been touring Israel as part of the album's sales promotion.
The leading singer has so far held more than 100 gigs, which have taken her to new venues as well, like Tel Aviv's Barby Club. The tour is expected to end at the end of March, with the last show taking place at Tel Aviv's Noga Theater.
Rita's gig at the Sydney Opera House, which will be held a week later, will include songs from her latest album.
