Indian singer Shaan will arrive in Israel for a single performance at the Yad Eliyahu Arena on February 28th. Shaan was scheduled to come to the country about three weeks ago, but cancelled his concert in wake of the terror attacks in Mumbai.

Due to the emergency situation that was declared in India at the time, the Israeli consulate was forced to close and Shaan and his crew of 13 people had been left without their passports and visas and could not leave for Israel.

Some 3,000 tickets had already been sold for the concert. Shaan pledged to donate some of the proceeds towards rebuilding the destroyed Chabad House in Mumbai.

After the show in Israel, the singer is planned to go on a tour in the United States.

Shaan, 35, is a pop legend in his country and in 2000 received the MTV Asia award for Best Solo Album. Over the following years he proceeded to receive numerous Indian musical awards for his six solo albums.

The famous singer is also an actor whose presence has been noted on the big screen as well as the small. He has previously hosted the Indian version of 'American Idol', and has taken part in a number of Bollywood movies.
