Livni arrives in Cairo for meeting with Mubarak
Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni is about to meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and senior government officials in Cairo, following a request by the Egyptian leader who is seeking to stop Israel from launching a military operation in the Gaza Strip.
Livni is expected to tell Mubarak that Israel will work to defend its citizens on the backdrop of the ongoing rocket fire in the south of the country. (Roni Sofer, Cairo)
