Israeli actress and model Chen Shilony is nominated for the best actress award at the European Independent Film Festival (ÉCU 2009), which will be held in Paris in mid March.

Shilony is up for the prize for her role in British film "Unstoppable", a black comedy in which she plays a greedy young woman chasing and exploiting rich men. The plot thickens when her victims decide to take revenge on her.

Shilony was cast in "Unstoppable" after one of the film's creators spotted her starring in a Foreign Ministry clip encouraging tourism to Israel.

"It's wonderful that Chen is gaining success in Europe even before the film has hit the screens," said Yaron Lichtenstein, CEO of the Look agency which represents Shilony.

"The producers are planning a sequel if the film becomes a blockbuster hit, and have already asked Chen for her agreement to take part in it," he added.

"Unstoppable" – which was filmed in England, France and Portugal – will participate in the Parisian festival's official contest and is nominated in the best picture category. Shilony is planning to attend the special screening of the film and its producers' press conference in the city of lights.
