Prime minister-designate briefs Likud members on efforts to form new government, warns public statements on negotiation's progress may weaken party's standing
According to rumors spread Monday, the coalition talks between the Likud and the Labor and Kadima parties have been resumed secretly. This report has not been confirmed by any party, but a Labor source said that "there is a feeling, based on the tough reality Netanyahu is facing, that resumed talks are possible."
There are those in the political system who believe that this is the time to resume the talks with Kadima and Labor instead of "being blackmailed by the right-wing parties". Netanyahu, however, is not likely to risk the alliance with his natural partners.
