Report: Israel refused to release only 5 prisoners for Shalit

Palestinian sources have told the London-based Arabic-language newspaper that in the indirect talks between Israel and Hamas held in Cairo, the Jewish state had refused to release five prisoners out of the 450 which Hamas is demanding for kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit.

 

According to the report, the five prisoners are PFLP Secretary-General Ahmad Saadat, head of Hamas' military wing in the West Bank Ibrahim Hamed, one of the military wing's leaders in the West Bank Abdullah Barghouti, one of the military wing's leaders in Gaza Hassan Salame, and Fatah activist Amna Muna.
