Prime Minister designate Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to announce within a day or two the assignment of remaining government portfolios among his Likud party members.
Several senior party members expect to be nominated to the various positions, including MKs Dan Meridor, Benny Begin, Moshe Ya'alon, Silvan Shalom, Limor Livnat, and Gilad Erdan.

The portfolios held by Likud include finance, which may remain in the hands of Netanyahu until a replacement is found, education, which may go to Gideon Sa'ar, environment, which may go to Gilad Erdan, transportation, for which Yisrael Katz is nominated, and culture, which may be filled by Limor Livnat.
There is as yet no official speculation on who will be appointed Netanyahu's deputy or which office MK Silvan Shalom will fill.
On Monday, the Knesset is expected to appoint MK Reuven Rivlin (Likud) to the office of Knesset speaker, and on Tuesday the new government is scheduled to be sworn in.
