Diskin: Despite Egypt's efforts, smuggling to Gaza continues
Shin Bet Chief Yuval Diskin said at Sunday's cabinet meeting that since the end of Operation Cast Lead in Gaza, 22 tons of explosives, 45 tons of raw materials for the production of weapons, dozens of rockets, hundreds of mortal shells and dozens of antitank and antiaircraft missiles were smuggled into the Strip.
"The Egyptians are making an effort and there is an improvement in their activity, but smuggling in Philedelphi continues," he said. (Roni Sofer)
