Some 3,000 anti-government protesters have gathered in downtown Chisinau to call for the resignation of the Communist government that won elections a week ago.
Protesters and opposition parties say the elections were rigged. The Communists won about 50 percent of the vote. Sunday's rally was attended by protesters who were mostly in their 40s. Students who had stormed the parliament and the president's office on Tuesday stayed away. (AP)
