Military Intelligence chief Major-General Amos Yadlin said during the weekly cabinet meeting that "Iran is working to obtain an amount of enriched uranium which would be enough to bring it only several months away from the production of a nuclear bomb.
"There is a serious economic crisis in Iran. The unemployment rate is high and the inflation is very high due to the oil prices and the global financial crisis. This could be used as a tool for restraining Tehran's nuclear ambitions," he added. (Roni Sofer)
