Following the speech made by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the UN anti-racism summit in Geneva, Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store told the conference that Iran had made itself the odd man out by undermining agreement on a conference declaration.
Nevertheless, Store – who was one of the few Western diplomats not to walk out on the speech – said that leaving the forum was pointless: "If we start walking out every time we feel uncomfortable dealing with our ideological rivals the world would be the one to lose," he said. (AP, AFP)
