Netanyahu calls peace with Egypt 'strategic asset'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said after his meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak that he viewed peace with Egypt as a "strategic asset, the cornerstone of stability and hope in the region".


Regarding talks with the Palestinians, Netanyahu said, "We want to renew peace talks between us and the Palestinians as soon as possible, and I hope that they are renewed in the coming weeks." (Roni Sofer)
