Tibi: Obama's statement on Palestinian state an important political outline
Knesset Member Ahmad Tibi (United Arab List-Ta'al) said that there was no partner in Israel to US President Barack Obama's remarks in Cairo.
"Obama presented in his speech a new approach and semantics, made a balance between the Israelis and the Palestinians and stated that the settlements were illegitimate… His positive remarks about Islam serve as a counterweight to Islamophobia and his remarks about the Palestinians' suffering and the Palestinian state are an important political outline," he said.
