Abbas: No talks until Israel stops settlement activity

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said there will be no peace talks until Israel recognizes a Palestinian state and upholds the first clause of the road map – halting all settlement activity.

"We were required to bring security, and we did. Now Israel must fulfill its commitments," Abbas said, adding, "We are not inventing new terms and are not placing any conditions, we want each of the parties to live up to their commitments." (Ali Waked)
