Former PM's Office director: Gaza evacuees were not handled properly

Former director-general of the Prime Minister's Office, Avigdor Yitzhaki, told the state commission of inquiry into the handling of Gush Katif evacuees that when he left office, four months before the disengagement from Gaza, "no organized work had been conducted for the day after the evacuation."
Yitzhaki added that the public's response and the people who should be evacuated would be completely different if the government decided to remove additional settlements. (Efrat Weiss)
