Syrian Ambassador to the United States Imad Moustapha expressed his pessimism Saturday night over the chances of resuming peace talks between his country and Israel, saying that the current situation was "not positive".
In an interview to the CNN television network, Moustapha accused the US of taking double standards by criticizing the oppression of post-election riots in Iran but ignoring Israel's policy in Gaza. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
