An initial IDF inquiry revealed that the Palestinian woman who arrived at the Bekaot checkpoint on Friday morning with a toy gun wanted to be injured by the soldiers' gunshots.
According to the army, it appears the young woman had suffered from violence at home and sought to flee her family. (Efrat Weiss)
