Ireland says its ambassador in Cairo is on his way to Khartoum to try help free two aid workers kidnapped in Darfur.
The Department of Foreign Affairs said Saturday the envoy was traveling to Sudan "as a matter of urgency" to seek the release of 32-year-old Irishwoman Sharon Commins and her Ugandan colleague, Hilda Kawuki. Ireland does not have an embassy in Sudan. (AP)
