French envoy to Tehran speaks with detainee

The French ambassador in Tehran, Bernard Poletti, had a "brief" telephone conversation Wednesday with the French national detained in Iran for spying, a diplomatic source indicated to AFP.
"It was brief," said the source regarding the first contact between the French envoy and Clotilde Reiss, 23, of the University of Isfahan, whose arrest on July 1st was published in Paris Monday. (AFP)
