Samir Kuntar: Hezbollah won't desert Iran if attacked
Samir Kuntar, the convicted murderer Israel set free as part of a prisoner exchange deal meant to secure the return of kidnapped IDF soldiers Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser's remains, said Sunday that Hezbollah would intervene in case of an Israeli strike on Iran.
In an interview with al-Jazeera television, Kuntar said that "we will not desert Iran, one of the pillars of Islam, without intervening." Kuntar added that the Shiite group's retaliation for the 2008 assassination of top member Imad Mugniyah, was "still pending." (Roee Nahmias)
