Barak: All options on Iran must remain viable
Defense Minister Ehud Barak met with US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates Monday, in Jerusalem. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Barak said that where the Iranian nuclear threat is concerned, Israel prefers to defend itself independently.
"We are grateful to the US administration for its continuous support of Israel… We are not blind. We know everything we do has implications on our neighbors," said Barak. "We insist upon keeping all options (on Iran) viable and we urge others to do the same." (Ronen Medzini)
