Mitchell in Ramallah: Difficult steps must be taken for peace
US special envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell said at the end of his meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas that all sides of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict must take "difficult measures" to renew peace talks.
Chief Palestinian negotiation Saeb Erekat said in response that Israel has not upheld its commitments as per the Road Map. (AFP)
