Next week, on the eve of Tu B'Av, a group of Israeli musicians will stage a concert at Jerusalem's Sacher Park as tribute to the legendary Woodstock Festival held exactly 40 years ago, in August 1969.

The five-hour marathon at the Kraft Stadium in the park will include covers for Bob Dylan by Ronnie Peterson, Crosby, Stills, and Nash by Long Time Gone, Neil Young by Geva Alon, Jimi Hedrix by Lazer Lloyd ("Yood") and The Doors by Crystal Ship.

The event is a benefit for the non-profit American Football in Israel (AFI) organization. AFI's national women's team recently took first place at the Big Bowl tournament in Germany.

"I think it's fitting that out Woodstock Revival is happening on Tu B'Av," said concert organizer Danny Gewirtz in a message on the concert's website. "And we hope that the stadium will be full of love peace and rock 'n' roll. In any case, we promise to provide the rock 'n' roll!"

The festival's main sponsor is Beter Jerusalem's new patron, businessman Guma Aguiar, who will also go on stage to host the event.

"Although I was born in Rio de Janeiro, I grew up on this music in Florida," said the 31-year-old Aguiar. "Unfortunately, I was born too late to be in Woodstock, and this is an opportunity for me to correct this historical wrong and celebrate with everyone who will be there."
