Report: German mediators give Hamas ultimatum on Shalit deal
Germany's Der Spiegel Magazine reported Saturday that Berlin's foreign intelligence service, the BND, has put forward a concrete proposal in the negotiations for the release of kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.
According to information Israel agreed to release at least 450 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Shalit. The report further said that the Germans informed Hamas they must return an answer on the matter by September. (Ynet)
