Sarkozy to Shalit family: France will continue acting for Gilad's release
French President Nicolas Sarkozy sent a letter to the parents of captive soldier Gilad Shalit in light of Shalit's birthday last week. The Elysee palace stated Monday that the French president promised that his country would not forget Gilad and will continue to act for his release.
"On August 28, Gilad's 23rd birthday, I especially think of you and your son," Sarkozy wrote to Aviva and Noam Shalit. (AFP)
