Labor court: No firing Arab train workers for not serving in IDF

None

Tel Aviv's Labor Court issued an interim injunction against firing Arab employees of Israel Railways who work as monitors or patrolmen on the grounds that they did not serve in the military. The court ruled that this is employment discriminatory criteria.

In addition, the judge addressed additional employment criteria that have been changed by Israel Railways within the past six months when the fight to prevent the layoff of train employees began, ruling that they as well are discriminatory. (Sharon Roffe-Ofir)
