PM: Jerusalem not a settlement
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu surveyed during the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee's session the political situation with the Palestinians and stated his efforts in removing checkpoints in the West Bank and expanding the activity of the Allenby Bridge crossing.
"We shall balance between the will to make a gesture in order to promote negotiations and a peace process, and the need to enable normal living for the residents. Jerusalem is not a settlement and construction shall go on as usual," the PM said regarding settlement construction. (Attila Somfalvi)
