Large shopping center to be built in Misgav
A regional shopping center is slated to be built in Misgav's industrial park, and will house a bank, drug store, coffee shops, clothing stores and shoe stores
The Zadikfor family from Carmiel in northern Israel is planning to build a 27,000 square meters (about 300,000 square feet) shopping center that will include a supermarket and a wide range of shops and services. Construction will begin next month and is schedule to be finished towards the end of 2010.
Zadikfor Yehuda and Co. Investments and Assets Ltd., owned by the Zadikfor family from Carmiel, was granted the tender by Israel Land Administration for building rights on the property. The company will build the largest regional shopping center in the north at the entrance to the Misgav industrial park. Development will kick off during October 2009. The shopping center is slated to open to the public at the end of 2010.
First Lehem Erez branch in Misgav
Ever since Lior Ma'ayan became director general of the industrial park about a half a year ago, the park has signed seven real estate deals of 51 dunams (about 12.6 acres). The park intends to continue marketing land to more green-tech entrepreneurs. The Zadikfor family is well-known in Carmiel and the surrounding area as the owners of the Mazon Yehuda supermarket, which started as a 170 square meter (1,830 square foot) corner store.
The shopping center will include a bank, a Mazon Yehuda supermarket, drug store chains, coffee shops, restaurants, and brand-name clothing and shoe stores. The maximum building space permitted is 27,000 square meters (about 300,000 square feet) over 14 dunams (3.4 acres).
The shopping center is built to serve a population of 80,000 people from Misgav and the surrounding towns as well as the nearby companies and park employees. A number of chain stores are slated to open in the shopping center, including Lehem Erez, making it the restaurant's first branch in the area.
