MK Pines-Paz: Three-way summit a farce

None

MK Ophir Pines-Paz (Labor) said that the trilateral meeting between US President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Palestinians Authority President Mahmoud Abbas "was a farce, an embarrassing show of apathy of people who, instead of taking advantage of a historic opportunity, are dragging their feet and buy time."

On the other hand, MK Ofir Akonis (Likud) said, "The meeting proved that (West Bank settlement) building will continue alongside peace talks. Now it is clear that the international community appreciates a strong government that stands up for Israel's interests. The burden of proof has now moved into the Palestinian court."
