Haniyeh: Prisoner release step on way to honorable deal
Hamas prime minister in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh said that the release of 20 female Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails "is a serious step on the path to an honorable deal."
"We praise ourselves and our people and the prisoners and their families on this day," said Haniyeh during a reception ceremony for the 20th prisoner, Roda Habib, released Sunday to the Gaza Strip as part of the brokered Shalit videotape deal. (Ali Waked)
