J'lem: 100 youths embark on stretcher march for Shalit release
Some 100 youth members of the campaign for Gilad Shalit embarked on a trek carrying stretchers on their shoulders from Mount Herzl in Jerusalem to the prime minister's residence in the city.
The youth are holding the march in a bid to put pressure on the necessary bodies to release captive Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, who has been held by Hamas for more than three years. In the afternoon, they are slated to hold a rally in front of the prime minister's residence during which Gilad's father, Noam Shalit, will speak. (Ronen Medzini)
