Berlusconi: Settlement freeze is first step to talks
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi called Israel "to freeze building in all the settlements," and noted that this would be "the first step in renewing talks with the Palestinians."
At the end of a meeting in Rome with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, the Italian prime minister expressed his "support for the renewal of dialogue that can lead to the establishment of two states that will live alongside one another in peace." (Nir Magal)
