Senior Hamas member: Intensive talks being held over Shalit deal
Osama al-Muzaini, a senior Hamas member responsible for talks over the release of kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilda Shalit, said that the parties are engaged in intensive talks in order to resolve the final obstacles standing in the way of reaching an agreement.
"The German mediator is working intensively, seriously and objectively, to try resolve the remaining disagreements standing in the way of successfully reaching a deal," said al-Muzaini, adding that the release of the two Druze prisoners held in Israel was completed a few days ago as part of an understanding reached with Hamas over the Shalit deal.
