The Labor party confirmed Sunday evening that it has established a special team to negotiate with Knesset members Ophir Paz-Pines, Yuli Tamir, Amir Peretz and Eitan Cabel in an effort to settle the differences with the so-called "rebels".
The four MKs were opposed to joining Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's predominantly right-wing coalition.
Labor Chairman Ehud Barak called on the MKs to "come home." According to him, "It is no secret that the (party's) situation is not simple. Party members were against Labor joining the government."
During a party meeting, the defense minister said, "Labor is a party with a past, but I also see a future and believe that it will return to its natural state and lead the country."
"Labor must return to values of freedom of thought and the freedom to argue, but unified action is based on accepting the majority's rule," he said.
