A delegation of seven British parliament members, led by Lord Muhammed Sheikh, met Sunday with Syrian President Bashar Assad. London-based newspaper al-Quds al-Araby reported that the main item discussed during the meeting was the status of the Iraqi refugees in Syria.
It was also reported that the delegation is slated to meet Monday with Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal to discuss with him a at length a number of various Palestinian issues. (Roee Nahmias)
