Former UN Ambassador Gillerman dispatched to New York

Former Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Gillerman was sent to New York Wednesday to assist in Israel's effort to thwart a UN General Assembly resolution on the Goldstone Report, probing the Gaza war.
Gillerman told Ynet that he was called upon by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, saying "This is a war (for public opinion) and when issued an emergency draft order – you go." (Roni Sofer)
