2 arrested on suspicion of mediating in kidney trafficking

Jerusalem Police at the start of the week arrested two Israelis suspected of mediating in human organ trafficking, it was cleared for publication on Thursday.
The two are suspected of having published ads in newspapers to locate people interested in purchasing or selling a kidney and mediating between the two parties. The operations themselves were allegedly carried out in the Philippines, South America and China. (Efrat Weiss)
