Fatah: Abbas to announce retirement from politics

Fatah sources told Ynet that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is expected to announce that he will not seek another term in office and that he is retiring from politics.
Fatah is gearing for a wave of public protests following the announcement. The sources also expressed concern that Abbas may phrase his announcement in a way he will not be able to recant. (Ali Waked)
