Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas accused Israel of "choosing a policy detrimental to peace efforts.
"I have kept the promises I made in my political platform – improving the situation in the West Bank and assisting Gaza Strip despite Hamas' coup," he said in a Ramallah speech, adding "Hamas has foiled Egypt's efforts to broker a reconciliation." (Ali Waked)
