Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Gabriella Shalev, filed an official complaint with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the Security Council following the seizure of the Francop arms vessel.
"The shipment from Iran to Syria, or to any other country or entity, in particular to any terrorist entity, constitutes a severe violation of Resolution 1747... and raises serious concerns that this incident also constitutes a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and 1373."
