Interior Minister Eli Yishai came out against a report issued by the foreign workers' hotline claiming that Yishai and his party, Shas, are responsible for authorizing the highest number of work visas to foreign workers in Israel.
"The decision on issuing work visas to foreigners is a decision made by the government that I have opposed throughout," said Yishai. He attacked the workers' hotline, who, according to him, "aid the thwarting the Zionist enterprise." He also added, "Whoever makes deceit into a work method is worthy of his dishonor being exposed to many." (Yael Branovsky)
